Karen Bella is a NYC & Long Island-based performing and recording artist who crosses genres in her songwriting while maintaining a strong foundation in the classics. Her hard work, beautiful voice, and extensive live performance experience all contribute to turning eyes and ears toward her whenever she takes the stage.

Bella began studying music performance and acting in elementary school. She started booking recording sessions by the age of 9 and was writing songs by 12. After college, she pursued music full-time, releasing her first album, Ordinary Girl, in 2013, followed by the self-titled EP Karen Bella (produced by Josh Dion) in 2020. In 2023, she released the single “Rise Up,” also produced by Dion, which has since earned more than 68.9K streams on Spotify.

She continues to perform throughout the tri-state area, playing such notable venues and festivals as Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, the Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington, Great South Bay Music Festival, Philadelphia Music Festival, and Spotlight at The Paramount, where she opened for Hannah Wicklund.

In October 2023, Karen delivered a show-stopping performance at The Bitter End in NYC alongside an accomplished group of musicians, including David Cook (Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris, Ben Platt, Jennifer Hudson, Kesha, Halsey, NSYNC, Billy Porter and many more), Josh Dion (John Scofield, Bill Evans, Norah Jones and many more), Teddy Kumpel (Joe Jackson, Nine Inch Nails and many more), and Brian Killeen.

From a recent interview, Bella expressed: “I'm lucky that I get to share my love for Folk, Rock, R&B, Pop, and Country music to its fullest. My shows and albums represent these little chapters of my life and give the fans and audience a glimpse into my heart and mind. My goal as a songwriter is to have a positive effect on the listener, because music has been a miraculous coping mechanism for me, helping all of us to fight the sadness and anxiety that follow traumatic life events.”

Bella was named a Sam Ash “Spotlight Artist” in 2019 and became an official Fishman-endorsed artist that same year. She was named a Yamaha Guitar Ambassador in 2022 and also became an Elixir Strings Artist. In June 2022 and April 2023, Bella was chosen to perform at NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) in Anaheim, California. She was nominated for Best Singer from Long Island in 2023 by the Town of Bethpage.

Her self-titled EP, Karen Bella, charted at #30 on the Folk Alliance International Charts and received commercial airplay in 2022. Her single “Indio” reached #2 on the World Indie Music Charts in 2023 and has earned more than 32K streams on Spotify.

Bella continued her recording career with a string of singles produced by Teddy Kumpel: “Living On The Great,” released in November 2025; “Guitar In The Air,” released in January 2026; and “Sonnet 128,” released in February 2026.

On July 17, 2026, Bella released her follow-up three-song EP, Before She Goes Home. Continuing an especially prolific chapter of her career, she follows the EP with her newest single, “Juniper,” arriving August 14, 2026. Produced by multi-platinum producer and multi-instrumentalist Philip A. Jimenez, also known for touring with Wheatus, “Juniper” marks the latest evolution in Bella’s genre-crossing catalog and her continued dedication to creating music that is deeply personal, expressive, and unmistakably her own.
